Graece εράρχης, quid Gentilibus, vide infra Prytaneia. Pachymeri Sacrorum moderator est et curator ac provisor: cuius officium καθαίρειν, φωτίζειν τελειοῦν, purgare, illustrare, et perficere, ut habet S. Maximus de caelesti Hierarch. c. 3. qui primo quidem Christum ipsum, dein S. Paulum ae ceteros Apostolos, et post hos Episcopos, hoc elogio in signit, Ι῾εροτελεςτὰς quoque, Τελετάρχας, et Τελεςιουργοὺς illos appellans. Auctor Hierarchiae Eccl. Dionysii nomen prae se ferens, Ι῾εράρχην huiusmodi θεῖον nominat, epitheto usitato. Sic θεῖος, Α᾿θανάςιος, θειότατος πέτρος τῆς Α᾿λεξανδρείαι ἐπίςκοπος et similia, apud Theodoretum aliosque.
